All this and more is coming to a concert stage near you with our platformer/beat-em-up/shoot-em-up game Neon Roar! Each character features a different gameplay style, combining all the hits of the 16-bit era into a rockin' synthwave-inspired package.<br/><br/>The members of Neon Roar are ready for any challenge... even when one of their concerts accidentally summons the demon prince Baphomet and unleashes a wave of evil! The band takes on hordes of nasty foes, from zombie jocks, to vampire gangsters, to spectral terrors, aiming to shred their way to the gates of Hell itself and prove their mettle (and metal!). Think you have what it takes to join the band? Grab your favorite instrument of chaos and find out!<br/><br/>Our current projected released date is early 2027! We are hoping and planning to release this across all major platforms, including the Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, and Steam!<br/><br/>Meet the band!<br/>________________<br/>Each playable character includes their own version of shared levels to offer a diverse series of challenges to your gaming skills. Master all levels with each character to unlock the final showdown with Baphomet and save the world from a premature zombie apocalypse! <br/><br/>Every level has its own killer retrowave soundtrack from JAMIEvx, making the neon landscapes pop as you fight your way through baddies and bosses. Our pixel art team has worked hard to recreate the feel of Genesis classics, while maintaining a modern polish for every aspect of the game's look.<br/><br/>Cyan, the band's lead guitarist, covers the skies, dodging and firing back riffs in a bullet hell side-scrolling shooter reminiscent of titles like Gradius or R-Type.<br/><br/>Reload, the lead vocalist, takes on their foes on the ground, wielding trusty sidearms and blasting through the waves of unleashed undead in a classic shoot-em-up platformer a la Vectorman or Earthworm Jim. <br/><br/>Meanwhile, hearkening back to beat-em-up sidescrollers like Golden Axe and Streets of Rage, Dozer, the bull bassist, clears a path with his trusty battleaxe... and his fists. <br/><br/>Last but not least, Tide the drummer shoots through the waters in time-attack style obstacle courses to keep the forces of evil guessing! Partially based on the Sega Sonic titles, this character also pulls a lot from the quick-decision levels of Battletoads! <br/><br/>But that's not all! Should we meet our stretch goals, we have two more band members waiting in the wings, each with their own gameplay style, and more worlds!
